Botox
Botox (Botulinum Toxin) is a protein which can be used to successfully treat wrinkles. The toxin reversibly weakens the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles that appear when you move your face (such as frowning). Botox is very effective at treating these dynamic lines. It's common uses include softening forehead furrows, eye lines (crow's feet) and frown lines between the eyes. A very small volume of the toxin is used and is extremely safe.
Botox initially lasts around 3-4 months but if treatment repeated over a period of time it can last 6-8 months.
Botox can help break the habit of frowning, soften existing frown lines and can also help improve self esteem.
Static wrinkles are wrinkles that appear at rest and are not usually best treated with Botox. For these lines/wrinkles dermal fillers are usually an effective and successful treatment.
For dermal fillers
Our product of choice is Juvederm which is formed from hyaluronic acid and provides smooth, long lasting correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
Juvederm has a smooth gel-like consistency making it easy to manipulate under the skin at treatment to provide a smooth, predictable result.
This type of dermal filler can last up to 1 year, making it a cost effective option for many people.
At treatment, local anaesthetic gel will be applied to the area prior to injection to ensure your comfort. In addition to this the Juvederm filler also contains a aesthetic agent.
