Botox/dermal fillers consultation The consultation offered is on a one to one basis, within your own home or at the salon, where you will be offered a full range of treatment options based on your requirements. It is important that the client and practitioner agree on what can be achieved and thoroughly discuss the process involved. The consultation takes around 30 minutes in which time a full medical questionnaire/consent form will be completed. At this point you will also be advised on any possible side effects and precautions to take post procedure. You will receive a leaflet detailing this for your information. For botox: Once the treatment has been agreed, the doctor will be contacted and he will ask you some medical questions. At this point he will approve the treatment. Caroline has a direct link with Dr Mark Harrison from Harley Aesthetics London who will review your treatment prior to proceeding, through a telephone consultation. The injection procedure takes about 5 to 10 minutes. You will be asked to frown and squint to determine the injection sites. The injections are slightly uncomfortable but quite brief. There may be some tiny red marks or very slight bruising at the injection site. The effects of Botox will take a few days , and you will feel that it becomes more difficult to frown. After about two weeks the maximum effect will be apparent. Very occasionally an individual patient may require more than the usual injection amount and a ‘top-up’ injection may be required. It is good clinical practise to inject a conservative amount of the botox and then add more if required. You will be invited back after 2 weeks for a review of the treatment. For dermal fillers: Once the treatment has been agreed Caroline will proceed with the fillers. Caroline will be happy to discuss any queries or questions that you may have both pre and post procedure at any point. (Some of the information for Botox provided by Harley Aesthetics London)
